🍺 Abjuration Brewing on McFarland
Abjuration Brewing, the mad-scientist beer wizards known for small-batch experiments and “hey, let’s just try it” energy, have officially popped up at for TAP’s soft opening on McFarland.
Expect a friendly crowd, a few surprises, and at least one person loudly declaring they “don’t normally like sours” right before ordering three of them.

🍜 New Ramen Spot in the former Oak Hill Post — Brookline (January)
Brookline’s getting a new ramen shop and, frankly, the timing could not be better. The beloved Oak Hill Post space is being reborn and rumored to open in January as a full-on slurp sanctuary.
No menu yet, but the buzz is already banging around Brookline Boulevard. Perfect timing to warm your bones after shoveling, help you forget the sun sets at 4:30 now or simply cope with being in Pittsburgh in January.
🏠 House of the Week: Stained Glass & Mystery Stage Included

This week’s pick is 2272 Morrow Rd in Upper St. Clair — a 3-bed, 2.5-bath home that mixes legit charm with a few “wait… what?” moments. You’ll find towering stained-glass windows, wallpaper that has more personality than most people, and yes, a mysterious raised stage in the living room that feels one karaoke machine away from destiny.
On a serious note, there’s also a helix staircase, a sunny foyer, a kidney-shaped pool and a main-floor suite. But let’s be honest… you’re here for the stage. Whether it becomes a reading nook, a kids’ fort, or your moment to belt out Journey, this home fully supports your vision.
Equal parts comfy family house and set from a ’70s avant-garde play.
🎅 Run Santa Run 5K — South Park Gets Festive
South Park’s about to look like the North Pole started a run club. The Run Santa Run 5K presented by Burn Bethel Park kicks off this Sunday at 9 AM, with a whole fleet of Santas, elves, and reindeer rocking running shoes. There’s also The Jolly Mile and Kids’ Reindeer Ramble, plus a toy drive for Amachi Pittsburgh, so bring an unwrapped gift.
Forecast says it’s gonna be cold enough to freeze Santa’s bells, so dig out your warmest red suit, your fluffiest fake beard, or whatever festive layers keep you from complaining your way to the naughty list.
Spots are still available. Race kicks off at 2381 Corrigan Drive.
👋 That’s it for this week. Thanks for reading, neighbors.
