🍴 Your Next Lunch Break Starts on Beverly Road

If you’re like us, you anxiously awaited the great Beverly Road business district shuffle of 2025. You saw Panaderia Jazmin expand to the incredible full-scale restaurant that serves not only its delicious churros but authentic tacos; you saw the Blooming Dahlia nestle perfectly into its new shop; and you saw Cafe Io transform into the neighborhood brasserie, Iovino’s. And we all waited patiently as New York pizzeria F&F finally made its landing too!

We love each of these businesses equally but wanted to do a special shout out for Iovino’s, which is now serving lunch— a first since Cafe Io closed in 2025. You can now enjoy those mouthwateringly good tempura green beans during the day as Iovino’s is now open Wednesday - Saturday from 11:30am - 9pm.

And for our sushi afficionados out there, don’t miss their Slowhand Sushi pop-up at Iovino’s on Thursdays & Fridays from 3pm - 9pm! We tried it, we devoured it, we loved it.

🍻 January: Peak Bar Trivia Energy

January is prime time for bar trivia: the holidays are over, it’s too cold to wander far, and everyone is suddenly very confident about their random knowledge. Trivia nights give us a reason to get out, grab a drink, and argue lovingly over facts we almost know.

Consider this your sign to rally a team and put that peak trivia energy to good use, at Dormont’s Back Alley Brewing Trivia, happening every Thursday at 7pm. The schedule keeps things fresh: Name That Tune on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays, and General Trivia on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th. Bring your smartest friends—or at least the ones who are good under pressure.

🦬 South Park: Where the Buffalo Roam

Have you ever been driving through South Park and wondered, how the hell did these buffalo get here? So have we.

From daring escapes during snowstorms and fireworks to a series of caretakers, these bison have lived a wilder life than most of us could imagine. Thanks to careful stewardship and a community that loves them, Big Head, Daisy, and the rest of the herd are here to stay.

Consider the mystery solved. Dive deep into the history here, courtesy of the Friends of the South Park Buffalo Preserve.

🏡 House of the Week: 1930 Tudor in Lebo

326 Orchard Drive is a 1930 Tudor that looks like it stepped straight out of a storybook—curved grand staircase, cozy nooks, and plenty of character to charm anyone who walks through the door. Just a stroll from Uptown Mount Lebanon and local schools, this home proves you can have storybook charm without giving up neighborhood convenience.
